I went for a 200km ride today ::015:: It was great, the 1st long ride of the season. Never got warmer than 4C but was a great ride
I start my new job in a week so I think I'll go camping this week to Liard Hot Springs.Weather looks like it will cooperate . This new job means I will be on call 24/7 May-Aug .No long ride this summer.
Here is where I stopped today

Dressed her up for the season. A few modest modifications compared to changing the cables…. Touratech large sidestand foot, Altrider guard and a RAM GPS mount for the MadStad bracket.

Next are likely some bar/ risers ergo adjustments for my upper back. This is when I will probably need to tackle the extended cables. Not looking forward to that……

Airscrew set and Throttle Body Sync. THANKS KARSON!!! for the loaner Harmonizer. What a cool piece of gear. I had to re-read the instructions, re-read the thread and then I got flustered because it seemed TOO easy (worried I must've forgotten something). I didn't set CO yet (this afternoon I'll give that a try. Rode just under 200 miles after TBS and it does make a discernible difference in the low end of things. I took some close up pictures of the process, and will add them to the Airscrew Adjustment thread tonight. It will now idle uphill without touching the throttle .. just like my truck :)

That's the part that pissed me off the most. Before I even started the project I went to Sears and bought the $40 set of Metric Flare Wrenches. They didn't sell the individual, so $40 was the only option. Not only did the nut strip, but the wrenches were made in CHINA! They will be going back tomorrow as I refuse to pay for the Craftsman "name" at the Craftsman premium for tools made in China!

Having been in the mechanic business, I can tell you from experience, the only flare nut wrenches that never failed me were made by
Snap-On.

Have you tried the SK? It's tough to find Snap On without a visit from the truck!

I have been searching for an iPhone 5 mount and found these. http://www.rammount.com/NewProducts/ramiphone5mount/tabid/4471/
I looked at those, but figured for $20 I'd try the quickmount out, and if I didn't like it I'd get something else. Found out it will work with the rubber part of my case, just not the outside plastic shell.

Hopefully this weekend I'll be able to try it out more, and may even give a video ride report with my GoPro.

Thx.

Installed National Cycle V Stream sport/tour windscreen. I made my decision based on feedback on this very useful forum. Thanks to all who posted before me.
Rain in the forecast here in Iowa so it may be a couple days before I get to try it out. I guess I could take a spin down the road in the rain to check for wetness protection :D I like the looks of the unit and the light tint isn't really noticable. I am 5'11" and didn't want to have a super tall windscreen and this one looks good. Check the pics.

The wing deflectors are worth looking into. Greatly complemented my setup with the stock windshield and an adjustable bracket.

Seat Flattening procedure.

and

Madstad Windshield bracket

Snow hit so I don't know the bracket effect, but I like the way the Seat feels now.
