Installed my K60 Scouts. Christmas Day took the bike out for a ride on Ridge Gap Rd. it goes from Red Rock Canyon to Lovell Canyon (both right outside of Las Vegas). Snow, mud, gravel, sand, water, boulders... I think I saw it all. Those tires live up to their reputation. Very happy. Thanks to Jaxon for getting them to me so quick.

How are the K60's in the twists?

I'm completely satisfied. Street. Dirt road. All conditions. As decelerate from about 30mph to adjust below 20mph you hear/feel a little tire noise. I like it.

I'm looking forward to my next set of K60's. awesome tire. Christmas Day I abused my Tenere. The tires were excellent.

Hard as heck to wear em out. Got about 14K miles on the front. Just ordered a new one from Jaxon. Not worn out actually. Just ugly, loud, and not holding air like it did.

Those are my excuses. :)

Yesterday I rode some roads here on the central coast. Blue skies and billowy clouds along with the greening hills made the already beautiful scenery gorgeous.

I had two interesting avian experiences on Santa Rosa Creek Road. I came around an uphill corner to find myself sharing the road with about 30 wild turkeys. Beautiful birds, and they looked delicious! About a mile further on I interrupted a turkey vulture's lunch. The trees formed an arch over the road, so as he slowly lumbered into the air we had to share the same space until the trees opened up. :'( Sorry, no pictures. Both situations developed and evaporated too fast.

No turkeys, but over-arching trees I got!

Glorious road. 10,000 miles from home. :(

Today, I removed the forks and painted more things in Black.
Anyone already changed the oil in there forks? I'm thinking of doing it. He's at 17 000 Km.
Geez, at first glance that looks like the end result of a head on collision with an lying down elephant.

Mounted my RideOnADV supertanker tank. I boggled at the additional cost of having it polished and painted like a "real" motorcycle tank, and ended up shooting DupliColor black bedliner. I feel it came out even better than I had imagined possible.

Jaxon's "Super Tanker" mod brings the capacity to a full 8 gallons.

Thanks for the reminder. One of my very favorite roads http://goo.gl/maps/XRthw Hot or cold; wet or dry; lower to higher or higher to lower; this road is fun, scenic, and challenging if you push it. Use GoogleMaps StreetView to view this road.

Right then .... she's invited some of her friends round for lunch and apparently some stimulating conversation. These people don't care much for things military and so attempt to give me a hard time with their strange political views. So I'm bugging out to my garage to immerse myself in all things oily and generally blokish ... Linkin Park at enhanced audible levels. I have my fender extenda to epoxy to the Tenere and heated grips for the Kwaker. That'll be me busy for the rest of the day. Of course I'll feign distress at not being able to indulge in the stimulating conversation O:) .... will I heck. >:D

Put my 3 year old Buckaroo (grandson) on his own mini-S10 for Christmas.

He says it's just like PawPaws. Then he points at the tuning forks on his, then mine.

Performed my first oil change at 3,470 miles on the odo. Removed skid plate and all of the bits were right there and easy to get to. No muss and no fuss. So much cleaner than what it was to change oil on my Honda ST1300. Thankfully I had a buddy there to help drink a couple beers ::003:: and check the oil level in the sight glass. We checked most of the other joints and fluids as recommended in the owners manual. I am all set for when the temperatures rises which should be around March. I wish everyone a healthy and happy 2013 with many miles of safe riding.

LED conspicuity lights on the handguards from www.admorelighting.com.. They are very bright and really stand out. They can also be wired to the turn signals so they are running lights and flash with the turn signals.
