The Riderscan 180 degree rear view mirror showed up, about a week from the UK to travel the distance to middle US. This is the original, not the amazon knockoffs so cost was a little more, I ordered two to split the shipping :) and they were about $50 ea US, compared to the amazon $15. These were quality pieces, good stainless hardware, lock nuts, etc. Fastened to the nav bar since I don't have any intentions for it at the moment.

Down the highway, it shows under and between the arm and body and above the arm, pretty much the blind spot between where the rear view mirror leaves off and peripheral vision. What is really nice is it is an aid to getting on the highway via the on ramps, easier to see to merge while accelerating. I don't see any downsides to this at the moment. Some have expressed concerns about glare but on the way out I noticed the glare off the dash readout screen was annoying while the sun reflection off the mirror was negligible.

Here's a couple pics. Notice in the one the object on the right side is a tool box, which is really a little ahead of 90 degrees off the right side. The one pic is how it is attached.

Very interesting ! I look forward to seeing those mirrors mounted on a bike in real life.

I found myself kind of mesmerized by the new view. Have to be careful not to get tunnel vision. There is the reflection of self to contend with. Thought a couple pieces of vertical black tape would take care of that and split the screen.

Washed and waxed her today after my daily ride. Figured I shouldn't waste what might be our last 85° day this year. Bugs are the biggest reason for a bath. I had bug guts inside the handguards, on the dashboard, and all over the tank. Even had some on the mirror glass. I'm hoping that the cooler weather will reduce the bug population.

You need to ride faster, suicidal bugs should not be able to catch up with your mirrors from the rear.

Yeah, I'm not sure how that's happening. I'm assuming rebound splatter off of my visor. Apparently, wind flow on the big girl gets weird.

At least it sounds like you had your visor closed.
The politicians might want everyone to eat bugs & they’re supposed to be good in protein, but they don’t half fight when they’re still alive going down.

Today was washing day and now Tenere is ready for a long winter sleep. I have planned some maintenance for the winter, but more about that when the time comes...

Maybe the pannier systems will also get an update and something else small for the next driving season. :)

Forks serviced, new seals, fluid and bushes. Will refit over the weekend and await the front wheel, which is away being checked that it’s running true. Hopefully I’ll get an opportunity to test it before winter arrives properly.

Put on the PivotPegs I got from @jwrands. Looks and feels good.
I was surprised that the right peg was now level where my old peg had a slight upper tilt. I previously thought I had slightly bent the mount on a rocky drop. It turns out the peg was both bent and cracked, just waiting for the worst time to fail.

I had previous broken and lost the left peg on a rock. It's not fun riding in the rough missing a peg.
My only concern with these PivotPegs is the inevitable rocky drop as they don't fold back as far as the OEM pegs. Looking at the design and materials, my guess is they will bend before they break.

I have one of these and mount when going into London or training riders, they're good once you get used to it's purpose, don't have it mounted all the time though as real observations are best.

I took advantage of the early black friday deals QuadLock was running and picked up a complete wireless charging system.IMG_7290.jpeg

I also installed the Altrider pilian rack that the prior owner never even unwrapped. Now I am debating on taking off the grab handles so I can put the tail rack in the lower position and have a completely flat tail deck.

I love Quad-lock so much I have it on all my bikes and in my vehicles. As long as you can reconfigure the racks do it anyway you want. If you don't like it you can put it back!

took it for the UK mot, it passed oil change and oil filter, then changed the brake fluids and cycled the abs pump, feels great to feel the brake levers vibrating knowing the pump is fine on a 10 yr old bike then bleed the brakes again, and put the S W MOTECH lower pegs on it to.
