AltRider crash bars + fork guards.

ACD skid plate next, then onto electrical shenanigans ... sorely missing my heated grips and camera/headset/phone charging.

I continued my battle against noise and turbulence today by installing my newly-purchased PowerBronze short sport screen. I haven't ridden it yet, but I am hopeful.

I made myself a Givi Airflow screen/stock screen hybrid. I took the mounting brackets off my universal airflow screen from my v-max and put them into my stock screen. Yeah, they're off by a tiny bit, but I now have a multi-adjustable windscreen. I probably won't get to try it out until the weekend, but we'll see if I show up to Romney with it on Sunday morning.

I refarkled my dash in-fill. The thermometer, which has an internal sensor was reading too high, I think because it was sitting on that black painted dash in-fill surface. I swapped it's position with the TPMS that was on the handle bar.

In my thorough check-over and prep prior to Fancy's embarking on the TAT, I noticed that my oil filler cap had a hairline circumferential cracks that was micro-spraying some oil onto the engine case. So I called up Jaxon and got his billet aluminum plugs. As an FYI... you can now get them in flat black. They came in yesterday and when I went to take off the OEM plastic filler cap, this happened:

Looks like I got the new ones in just in the knick of time!!

Looks like removing something after I tightened it ::)
I installed Shinko 705's thanks to Gen who found this deal http://www.yamahasupertenere.com/index.php?topic=18576.msg274489#msg274489
Actually received them the same day I ordered them. Maybe a drone dropped them off.
Like them so far. haven't tried them in dirt but they are curved so they work great in the twisties.

Had a creaking sound that had just started in the last 50 miles or so near the tail light. Found out every time the top box (Jesse mounted on an AltRider plate) bounced, it sounded like something was cracked underneath. Took the whole rear apart and could not find anything cracked, plastic or metal. Mounted the plate/box directly to the frame and tweak/twisted and bounced it with no creaking sound and all welds look great. Put it back together, and no creaking anymore! I had checked all bolts prior to taking it apart and they were good. Oh well, no creaking anymore, no worry, more riding.

Mark, do you happen to have any close up pic's of how you mounted the Jesse top case to the AltRider plate? I was planning to do the same thing but there didn't appear to be holes in the AltRider plate for the two round knobs on the top case to drop into. Did you add holes to the plate or maybe add a spacer between the AltRider and Jesse plate?

I will try and get some pictures today. Not sure what you are saying on the round knobs. Do not have that on mine. I just drilled the holes myself and mounted it on the AltRider plate.

Okay, I think the difference is that you chose to hard mount the top case to the plate and I am using a lockable quick release plate - thanks!

Rode the Three Sisters roads a few weeks ago with my Son and his Church's Motorcycle Group. Three Sisters is a series of twisty roads in Bandera Texas between Austin and Fredericksburg.
It was a fun ride because he pulled my 13 YO Grand Daughter out of school to go with us for the 4 day ride.
This morning I noticed I hadn't cleaned the bike up yet.

So I wiped the bugs off the "T" with a wet towel and spray cleaner.
Headed out to a Dr.'s Appointment on it in a few minutes.

I did see a few other Tenere's down there for the ROT Rally in Bandera when we rode through Bandera.
But didn't get a chance to stop and visit with them.
Passed one guy several times and last saw him pulling into a Restaurant in Hico.

I was the guy in Yellow Viz riding the White Tenere with the Big Boxes. Iwass riding with about 30 Harleys and a few Gold Wings, plus one BMW.
Lesson Learned , "Harleys don't like to lean over in the corners."

Just added RS4, Yamaha tall windscreen. Not much extra sound, but enough. New windscreen seems better, But waiting on the two wind deflectors on backorder-grrrr

Added a tank ring for my little tank-bag:

And fitted a ram mount to my front brake reservoir to hold the GoPro:
