Well, my bike's not a virgin anymore. While blazing a trail up an embankment I came across some hidden rocks that caught my crank case. They're a couple of 2" long parallel scratches. I want to touch them up to prevent rust and make it look better. What do you guys use that's durable and matches that color?

You'll be happy to know. that whether you paint it or not, your crankcase is not going to "rust". LOL

Had the local auto paint supply try and match the engine case colour with some success. After starting with a close colour and a bit of extra tinting, they came up with this, and its pretty close, but not spot on. Good for touch up, but not an exact match. Got it to see if they could mix the engine case colour as I'm considering using it to repaint my panniers with it.
Might be able to find a touch up pen in that Nissan colour that should be pretty close for a few scratches on the engine.

I'll look into this. The touch up pen seems like the best way to go.
