NDK is correct. I think Yamaha should have done something like this as part of the design. Want2, Holligl and I went for almost a 300 mile ride yesterday. Gravel and pavement. One of the gravel roads was going up the side of a ravine. Some of the steeper parts were rough enough that the TCS was activating. I turned of the TCS and then no problems. Across some water crossings both wet and dry. My windshield/tablet never moved! Totally rock solid now. I wish I would have had this going to Alaska as I lost a bolt out of the windshield mount assembly and a screw loosened in the windshield itself. All that was because the thing was shaking and flexing. All gone now. Totally happy that I bought them. The before and after while the tablet was installed is a night and day difference.
Cheers,

If you're ever in Dickeyville WI at Millie's Diner... get the Tenderloin or the Ruben sandwiches. Neither Want2 nor I were impressed with the prime rib melt. But Holligl Tenderloin looked good and he said it was good.20241001_124730.jpg20241001_124839.jpg20241001_140835.jpg
Bikes sitting in what was a flooded crossing. This crossing is now dubbed Darryl's Crossing!. Had to go visit the scene of the crime.20241001_141322.jpg20241001_114829.jpg20241001_114822.jpg
These pictures were taking 2 miles south of Hazel Green, WI right at the Border of WI/IL. Called the Point Of Beginning. Every township, county, anything in Wisconsin is measured from this point where they started surveying the state.

Enjoying the trip reports TG. In the process of moving to that part of the world so I am talking notes.
Some great photos.
One ting I am learning... never go out alone as you will need help picking it up in a soft sandy wash and... I need a lighter smaller bike in the low desert areas with washes! Rocks, gravel, dirt no problem... but deep sand and pea gravel is a #$%^&*!

A good day... and I really wanted to meet Paul and SkunkWorks. If my bike wasn't strapped down in the trailer I would have gone and met them. They were very close to us. We had just been up to Hell's Backbone twice this week.

On the left is the newly found aluminum ramball mount. It is a bit more compact which really helps in the two positions that I will be using them in. It is well thought out. It has a tamper "proof" torx. The thing doesn't flop around like a ram mount because it has a spring over the bolt in the middle. So it parts evenly and it made mounting it a breeze. Only downside is that you can drop the torx key and have to go searching for it. Other than that I like it. Now my tablet is locked in the mount and someone can't just come up and remove the whole mount by loosening the thumb screw that is on a ram component...
Link or brand name for this?

I will go through my orders and try to find it. I already threw out the trash. I went to my order again tab on Amazon and found it!View attachment 116562
Thanks. I also saw this version. A larger and harder to lose key that you could put on a key chain. Now I have a decision to make. Waiting an answer first from mfg whether keys are unique. I need multiple arms and don't want separate keys for each.

Those Ladlesport Braces came in yesterday. I made a video of the installation. My windshield mount is rock solid now. No worries...
Video below. These things are so easy to put on. If you watch this video and then go install the kit it will take you maybe 15 minutes. These are well worth the money if you take your bike off pavement.

They come in black now? Neat.

Time to report back on the rear tire. MotoZ Tractionator Rallz. I put somewhere over 500 pavement miles on it before I went to Utah. Then in Utah another 500 miles of pavement and really nice curves on Utah's hwy 12 so I was playing. 600 miles of rocks, dirt, gravel and sand. I looked at the tire today as I washed my bike. The thing looks new except the little rubber teats are worn off. So I believe this tire for being a very luggy more off road oriented tire will easily get over 7,000 miles on it in mixed riding.
But the question is... how did it do in the off pavement conditions. In a one word description... Wonderful! We were on simple gravel roads... felt like I was on pavement until the gravel got thick and then the bike just wobbled underneath me and kept going. Yawn... nothing exciting to tell you. Rock, dirt desert stuff. Never slipped and I just kept going. Even in a few water crossings it just got traction and kept me going while one of the riders said he couldn't believe how slippery that stuff was as it stuck to his boots.
Sand, deep sand and aggregate gravel washes: I always had traction. I learned to get up on my pegs sooner and stay on them longer and steer by the pegs. The front wheel wanted to wander a bit but that back tire just kept churning and pushing me through. Did I go down? Sure, hard not to if your front tire digs in to the hub or close to it. But the back tire always did it's job and kept moving me forward until I usually screwed up and got in really deep stuff and went down.
After going down here I was stuck. The 1st time I didn't know what I was doing and dug a hole deep enough to have my bike standing on its own and I was ready to get out my collapsible shovel. My buddy said... try second gear. Ok, And doing that and a little push I was able to duck walk the bike out of that deep hole through the loose deep sand until I got to firm ground. I never dug a hole with the rear tire again but I had 5 more instances of us picking the bike up and me getting in 2nd gear and easily getting the bike out of deep sand. I couldn't believe it.
Am I happy with this MotoZ Tractionator Rallz? Yes I am. When the Tractionator Adventure wears out on the front it will be replaced with a RallZ. My tires are noisy on pavement though. I was at some serious lean angles on UT 12 and it never slipped. I couldn't have asked for a better tire over mixed off pavement terrain from going over mountains where gravel/rock is more the norm or down to the more flat lower elevations where dirt/rock/sand were and then on to going down in the valleys where washes or deep sand were the obstacle. I never even thought about my tires... except on pavement when I was leaning over at speed. 17295677039558350659418463607251.jpg

Front Tractionator Adventure more worn out towards the sides from hard cornering. This tire was hard to find last time. Someone told me it had been discontinued. I have no idea if that's true. But it will be replaced with a new Rallz when it's worn out.
I do recommend this tire. I will give another review when it is time to replace it.
