The 8th character is an E which I assume represents a 49 state model since I bought it in NJ.

When listing your last five digits (00027) you should also include the 8th digit (letter) of the VIN. There are duplicate last five digits and the 8th digit will distinguish whether it is California, 49 States, or Canada. I don't know the differences of the VIN's for Europe, Netherlands, South Africa, ???.
