How was the weather in Alaska Tiger?
Wonderful, I did have 3 days of rain off and on, one long stretch coming out of Alaska 43F and rain for 6 hours. At a construction follow me truck stop, I got off my bike and jogged up and down the road while we waited to warm up! Overall very good luck with the wx. Twisties and Bullet were about a day behind me, and got drenched about 9 out of 12 days up there. Timing is everything. ::013::

Not sure what mine is showing right now, maybe around a thousand. Hey, I'm new here and it's a month old. I'm gonna continue to ride, farkel and enjoy what is turning out to be my favorite bike yet. ::022:: This is an excellent, informative forum too, lovin it.
On a sort of related note.....one evening a about a week ago I looked down at my cluster..... to see what time it was. It said 813......but it was showing there twice. What the.........?
It took me a second to realize that the time and the mileage were exactly the same at 813. Freaky deaky, but cool. 8) Total random chance that I looked then. I had no clue they were close, and no reason to even check the time.

Another one of them unimportant but weird little life burps, they come up on me every now and then. There wasn't a good place to pull over and take a pic before it turned to 8:14 pm, so you'll have to take my word for it. :D

OK, back to the topic at hand.

What did you do the other 24 days? ;)

JK, nice to get the break in miles over so you can have some fun. It will keep getting better for another 3k at least.

Nice one Rudolph, I think I know which one you bought as I was watching it myself. I hope everything worked out ok and you have many miles of enjoyment out of it.

Congrats mate! ::022::

PS, make sure those pannier boxes are put on the correct sides. They're on backwards in the pics.

Cheers,
Dave.

Good on you Dave! Well, I dont know much about Yamaha Tenere panniers. I have gobi's on my 660 tenere. The first time I looked at the ad I realised though.... I rang the guy, He was a bit baffled when I told him they are wrong... But got back to me and said they fixed it. I didnt even know it was remotely possible to put them on like that, although it only looked half hooked. The drama I had to get it shipped..... Thats a different animal all together. I admit I am a bit nervous about the whole " sight unseen" thing... Just hoping... Thank you.. What a fantastic forum!

Shame you couldn't ride it from Sydney home. Would make a heck of a great first ride report. ::008::

Post some pics up when you can and let us know what you think. You certainly got a great deal on that one! ::024::

Cheers,
Dave.

Will do thanks Dave. It would have been nice to ride across.. At least now I can go and pick it up from courier depot and take it around for a service and check over, then she has to go over the pit. I will ride it home after holidays. (750km)
