The only bike I'll ride is the one that makes me smile. What is it about the ST that makes you smile?

Me too... Most everything is great about my Super T! I've owned many many bikes in my 44 years riding but this is the first bike that I purchased two of. I put 68,808 miles on my 2012 then they came out with the ES and now I almost have 21,000 on this 2014. It just trips my trigger!

I like the big fat-ass metal gas tank. It kinda reminds me of the old R1150GS tank. It's like a desk. Authoritative. Chunky. Wide. That makes me smile.

I also love the chugging sound of the engine at cruising speed. Very locomotive-like.

Finally, I've come to dig the blunt, beakless look. Mine's white and looks like a baby beluga whale up front. It seemed odd at first. Now it just makes me smile.

Low maintenance, handles rough roads, handles open road too. Great all around machine. Lots of aftermarket accessories too, so you can outfit it to suit you.

I like my Super Ten because it is comfortable, handles low speed threading through tight spaces, has plenty of power, rides planted at 100 mph, ... it really is an all around universal motorcycle. W/ the Rumbucks crash bars & skid pan, Jesse panniers and Rigid driving light, it's a pleasure to take all over. I commute every day rain or shine, split lanes and it just works. It's also pretty nice looking in matte gray :).

About the only thing that isn't yet perfect is the noise from the windscreen/helmet (Arai Quantum) - 30 dB ear plugs help a lot, though.

Now I want to take it on some longer trips....

Love the way it's happy to sedately chug a long like a big cruiser. Also, whilst some folk might of wished for a smaller feel or actual size from the the Ten , I didn't as I love the 'big bike presence' it has n out on the open road the stable planted feel it gives out in abundance. There really is lots of things I love about my 'Superb' Ten... It's a machine that (is this strange?) just makes me feel invincible when aboard! Can't think where I go from here for a next bike. Reckon, I'll happily just end up buying another one... :)

I've been riding street bikes for 40 years, have owned 30+ bikes and this is the first time that I have traded for a newer version of the same bike.
I really liked my 2012 Tenere and like my 2014 even more with all the new changes and additions. The bike does a lot of things well, day bike, play bike and touring bike. The ride, handling, comfort, fuel mileage and fuel range are all good.

It's an all-rounder that just feels right....I can ride with the street bikes, I can ride with the dirt bikes, I can ride with the long distance bikes. There have been a few times recently where I was missing some of the features of my old FJR, but also quickly realized it would be mostly neglected. The ST is far more comfortable and better suited for what I want to do on two wheels....

In Arkansas i was smiling when i was tearing it up in the twisties and got the "thumbs up" from a sportbike rider that i was trailing who could not pull away from me. I was dumbfounded when on that same trip on the same bike and setup i was getting air over berms on one of the trails that Jaxon found for us. How many other bikes can do that?

Has been an excellent all around duty bike for me. barely 18 months and 28k miles...never left me stranded, more than I can say for my last bike. I am able to ride the twisties and then go play in the dirt with friends. I am surprised at the fact that I can follow my buddies on their true dirt bikes (WR250, WR450, XR650) and they look at me like I am an expert dirt rider, because I took the WLDB down a path they struggled on a 250.

The versatility makes me smile, you can be dragging footpegs one minuet and touring blissfully along the next. The sound of my Simmi carbon oval can brings a grin every time I fire 'er up too ::008::

Yup. The look on the faces of cagers when you have the cruise set at 80 down the interstate and standing.
