What gauge is the Hi-beam wire??...

Getting ready in install some LED driving light that go 100% once you hit the Hi beams. Anybody with what gauge wire this is?? Need to tap into it and want to know what size Posi-tap to get.

Just for the record, Mark...

Are you referring to the actually high-beam wire that goes to the headlamp, or the high-beam switch wire? And I assume you are looking for a wire to trigger a relay, right?

If you are referring to the actual high-beam wire in the headlamp harness I'd stay away from those as that's the harness they are replacing under recall.

If you are referring to the high-beam switch wire for a relay then that's perfect, and indeed, it's about 18-gauge.

You do know that the factory wiring harness and plug already onboard your bike for the Yamaha accessory lights has the wires you need in it, right? It's under the right-side panel where the battery is, up near where the tool kit goes.
