What did you pay OTD for your Super Tenere?

I saw this on another forum and I thought it was pretty sweet since there really isn't anything like Truecar for motorcycles. I am looking to buy a 2016 Super10 here in Texas and thought I would reach out to see if there is any good baseling to see what deals other have received. Thanks in advance for any feedback.

I paid $15,400 OTD for my '15 ES. In California that includes sales tax (7.5%), license, delivery and dealer prep. Basically everything but insurance.

I am in the south eastern CT area where everything is expensive. My local dealer got down to $14,000 OTD for the standard model Super Tenere. He was also able to give me $4,000 for my 2008 KLR 650 in good condition with 10,000 miles. So I paid $10,000 total out the door for my S-10.

I am not sure if that is a good price or not, but I feel like I got a good deal, especially how much I got for my KLR.

I paid US$20512 as I live in a Government-Rip-U-Off country. :) It is just a stock bike, comes with no accessories, and it is a 2012 left over (purchased in 2015) For the latest 2016 model, it would be US$30770.

I was thinking the $13,500.00 to $14,000.00 range OTD was a good target...it is hard when you throw in the trade-in but it does give me a good baseline. I have spent a lot of money with this one Yamaha Dealer and I expect him to give me a super fair deal. I really want the 60th Anniversary Yellow.....

You don't say where you are at (Texas is a big place), but a couple riding buddies of mine did well dealing on FJR's with the big Yammy dealer in Georgetown.

Colorider, I am in the DFW area and I will get in touch with the Georgetown Yamaha Dealer as it is not terribly far away if the deal is right. Thanks for the heads up. :)

It's Central Texas Powersports, IIRC. I have a t-shirt from them! I can probably come up with a contact name if you want. Let me know via PM if interested. At the time, I was riding a '13 FJR and two of my buddies bought '14's from them. I ran some numbers with them, but it didn't go any farther. I came home from the trip and went to my local dealer and made a "decent" deal on a '14. Always said I would never trade "just for color", but that's essentially what I did. Well, color and the increased limit cruise control of the '14. Never say never....

Good luck!

You didn't say ES or standard. My dealer up here in OKC, Maxey's motorsports has a new 2016 in Yellow.

Going with Standard and will upgrade suspension...Thanks again for all the input! I am getting ready to close on some land in the next few weeks and when that is over the hunt will be on for the S10.

$11475 including tax title and reg for my 2014 non ES. There were incentives at the end of 14 and my dealer was overstocked.

Check out Yamaha Sportscaster in Longview, TX. The owner is a member here (lotecredneck), and I bought my 2012 from him back in the PDP days.

Is 13200 OTD for a 2015 non-ES a good price? I still can't get the dealer to come off of the setup and freight fees even when the front wheel sensor came loose and the bike lost power during my test ride. They tried to say that it was Yamaha's fault but I didn't think the bikes shipped with the front wheel attached.

Just... WOW! I hope you get your money's worth out of it.

Paid $13,500 for mine in 2012 and has been worth every penny.

Since you're in the DFW area you should contact Sheehorn Yamaha in Shawnee, OK. I had bought 3 new bikes from North Texas Yamaha before they were purchased by Freedom. When the new '13 FJR came out I wanted one and figured I'd get a fair deal at Freedom. Not. Basically list price?!. I met someone from Sheehorn at the MC show in Dallas and they offered me a very good deal with no stupid fees. So I drove the relatively short drive up there and picked it up. Super folks.

$14,350 out the door for my 2016 ES from Romney Cycle and I paid another $1,018 to the state of Florida for tax, title and license. The price was $1,100 better than anything I could find in the Southeast.

Including the value of the service they tossed in, came out to be $13700 including TTL for my 2015 non-ES. I think it was a fair deal. Not a great deal but seeing others here I think it was reasonable considering I didn't bargain too hard or shop around.

The more I learn about this bike the happier I am with my purchase. I feel I may need to add a sport bike to the stable in the future to fill that speed void, however this is certainly a "jack of all trades" otherwise.
