If anyone at Yamaha asked me, I'd like two Wr250R cylinders stuck together as a mini-Tenere: 500cc twin, 270 degree crank, WR suspension, 5+ gallon tank, chain drive.

And I'd buy either blue or white. I always liked the non-USA white/black/red scheme. I never cared for yellow, still don't.

But I do hear rumors of an uprated/updated FJR. And I wouldn't mind a WR450R to keep my 250 company. Can't have too many.

But the new, improved, high-zoot Super Tenere will be Aluminum framed, 145 HP, be available in Fast Blue or Spiffo-deluxe white, have an off switch for ABS, have three D-Modes, and weighs 467 pounds.

How's that?

The mini-me Kawaha idea does have merit. My WR is good on the really tough stuff, but not great for long rides. The Tenere is great for long rides but too heavy for rough off road. It would be a goldilocks model: just right.

So much for the anti-climax: new-but-same XT250, WR250R, TW200. We already had the WR450F from before, and that's the extent of it other than the Vino scooter 50 is now only available as a four stroke, no two strokes.

This is far more interesting: http://ossaworld.com/Default.aspx

I'd like a street legal, injected two stroke.

It was purchased in May and then immediately resold in the San Diego area for 9800. I can only assume some guy chasing rainbows.

If I had had the jack and it had been nearby, I would have bought it, and it wouldn't be for sale today. Instead, I would have been howling down deserted mountain roads. I love the sound of a two stroke twin. Had an R5, RD250s, and RD350s years ago, and they sure were fun. I still have a complete DS7 engine in my shed, along with most of the running gear. One of these days I'm going to build a nice Rd, put a fairing, disk brakes and modern suspension on it, and slip in a Banshee engine.
