Just got these bags and they don't fit on an ES model! The right front hardware mount does not clear the right side cover so the bolt is not aligned.

Does anyone know of a semisoft saddlebag like this one that works with the ES model??

TIA

I've heard good things about Ortleib too.
Let me know if you are looking to sell the Dakar set, and I'll look at shipping costs in CONUS.

I thought Motec had modified the mounting frames to accomodate the 2014 ZE/ES model....i had been looking at the Dakkar bags myself

I'm going to return them, too bad because they are nice bags and not big...which was really made me but them.

The twisted throttle, where I bought them from, just says the bags fit 10-14 Super Tenere. No mention about ES or not.

You are correct, I researched in more detail and the ZE/ES isn't included in their fitting list....Shame really as I like the look of the bags :(

I really liked them too, they looked great when I placed them next to the bike. They are also a lower cost option for mounted saddlebags not the typical soft ones........oh well, back they go.

I guess I will have to spent $1200 for Jesse bags........

I think there will be a few frames that are not interchangeable... A fair bit of welding needed on my Hepco & Becker 2015 non ES frames to get them to fit my 2014 ES

I have been told by this supplier that these will fit the ES - am not so sure now!

My frames came from a 2015 non ES... and they were nothing like what they needed to be to fit my June 2014 ES .... as detailed in the photo's..... On the Moto bins website the ES/nonES H&B frames have different part numbers ;)

thanks, it worries me that the supplier I quoted only states '2014 - ', and doesn't mention ES - so I assume one kit fits both ES and non ES

I guess I buy and return if no good!!

TBH I would check that out with the supplier as there are some differences between ES/ZE and non ES/ZE, just to be on the safe side ;)

Reviving this thread as I got mine on my standard 2013 and these things SUCK! That plastic clip thats supposed to click into place is barely strong enough to hold the empty pannier to the rack. You have to use one had to support the bag and the other to put the velcro strap across the seat.

If you don't get the velcro straps tight enough over the seat the plastic clip pops-off he rail and and the whole pannier moves down just low enough so the clip isn't doing anything.

The straps are too wide to go under the grab rails nicely. So with them like they show on the website just doesn't work. Since the clip is no longer holding the pannier on to the rack they will move and bounce around. Not something you want going off-road. The only way I've found to make them work like they should is to put the straps over the grab rail so there is even tension on the bags. Then use a another strap (rokstrap) in my case to help support the bag.

I'm thinking if this set up was 300 bucks it'd have been okay but for 500 it falls short…
