Re wind shield gap. I was doing 170 KPH on the A995 (for Munich members). Standard screen, TTech adjuster mounted on the low holes, screen at full height. Air flow lifted the lip of that flimsy plastic instrument pod cover and wrenched the centre quick fastener out of place. The pod cover went into vibration mode and make the whole bike shudder. I thought I had a flat, or hit a rock or who knows.

I am going to buy a bag of quick fasteners and then tape the pod cover down. Or remove it, what does it do?

It covers/camouflages the untidyness at the back of the instrument cluster.

Mine did the same after a brief stint at triple digit speeds. I'm considering drilling and tapping the mount below the cover and installing a Ram ball in place of the OEM fastener.

No damage on mine either. The centre quick fastener was strained, so I swapped it with one of the outside ones. Now I have the cover taped down at the front.

I have got a shorty and a large on order from Calsi which will close the gap.

BTW, I am not expecting the tall Calsi to be safe over 100 mph

So far, nothing evident here after mutliple rides at freeway speeds with large CalSci installed on lower holes.

Interesting, maybe this is why the manual says that the high mounting holes are only to be used with the accessory screen.

Okay, I'm confused........... I thought the problem was somehow related to the wind force of the exposed cover when the screen is mounted in the upper position - not the actual size of the screen.

It seems to me like it is just a matter of how big the gap is below the screen. If you have too much air flow occurring below the screen, it will put too much load on the plastic fasteners for that little trim plate.

I'm thinking about those times when I meet one of the non-streamlimed 18-wheelers on a two lane road with both of us doing about 70+!
