I notice on the national cycle website, one I have visited, that if I purchase the mid-sized windshield, I can not get clear, it must be slightly tinted. Do any of you have any experience with this shield and it's tint? When it is sunny out I put on sunglasses or use my helmet visor. I don't need the tint at night or my sunglasses. As I am only 5'7", I can't fathom the high clear screen and am pretty sure I will be getting the Madstad setup. Comments please. Thanks.

I have the tall touring and really like it. I'm 6'1" and on the higher setting it sits at the bottom of my nose. Although its a clear screen I can't imagine the tint being a problem. Even slouching I have no trouble seeing over the top.

There is another topic here that spends a bit of time on this, as I recall, but I don't remember the name of it. I have the middle size V-Stream. Love it. Number 1, it likely isn't high enough to cause you to actually look through it very often as I recall, and number 2, the tint is so slight that you have to compare it to a clear screen to even notice it. It won't be a problem. I had it on a WaspWorks windshield bracket on my other bike. On the new bike, just the windshield. R ::001::

I'm an even 6 feet in my stockings. When I stand up straight ... Yes, Dear ... I guess since the accident, I tend to slump a bit. But it's there .... I really like the windshield. When I wrecked my bike last September, one of the first things I ordered was another mid-size V-Stream. R

I have the mid-sized Vstream and really like it. Im just a shade under 5-11 and have it mounted in the in the upper holes. I did have it on a MadStad but really didnt use or need the bracket. I am able to see just over the top (which I prefer). I also commute to work at 3:30 in the AM and the tint is so light I could easily look through it if needed.

I posted pics of it in another thread. You can find it if you do a search on the Vstream.

Howdy,
I also have the mid size V-Stream, 5' 10" with the OEM Wind Deflectors and no aftermarket bracket it is almost as good as my GL1800 Gold Wing. ;D ;D Get the Cal Sci replacement mounting screws with knobs and you can do quick road side changes on the height without tools.
Later,
Norm

I recently replaced my mid-size dark tinted Parabellum with the mid-size light tinted V-Stream. I have the Yamaha side deflectors too.
The V-stream sits a bit lower overall and you can see through it better then the Parrabellum.
I do think the wind management is much better. I find that I ride with my face shield open a lot more now and there is less noise.
But, the biggest improvement is that the wind the Parrabellum directed right at my hands and wrists has been reduced by 50%.
I like it!
