His videos are generally pretty good, he's always fair if a little on the nice side! I'd say he gave it a fair assessment though.

Ha ha, I saw that one earlier today and was going to post on here about it....... But got distracted by the kids to go out and build a snowman in the garden with them.

Seemed like a proper objective review. I like that the Tenere does NOT have a beak. (just my opinion) I am assuming the color difference was UK v US? He was riding a '17, but that looks more like our '18. His comment about "if you want one bike that does it all" was the biggest factor for me. May not be the best at any one thing, but does everything well. ::001::

Good review. I'm pretty sure it's the new 18 version, and not a 17 not that it matters. Really nice to hear something positive for most the bike, instead of the usual.

I thought the front brake test was interesting. He thought it was not as good as some but didn't mention the linked brakes until later in the film.

Also as mentioned above he really wanted it to look like a BMW with that horrible beak. I have seen them advertised for the S10 which in my mind it would be the single worst thing you could do to a Super Tenere.

I watch a lot of reviews of his and I know he is a BMW man through and through but in his sum up he did say it was definitely worth checking out.

I just don't understand why the comments on the YT comment section, suggest that it is overpriced and if it was sub £10k it would sell better, but willing to bet those same complainers would happily fork over the better part of £20k on a BMW!! Where do these people live, in the 80's?

I was also surprised at the number of comments from other people also wanting the beak!! I really like the S10 the way it is and think a beak would be awful? I guess it's good that we all have different tastes or the world would be a very boring place..

I've seen where the Tenere can cost MORE than the GS in Britain. I guess it's due to the tax situation, as Britain has been part of the EU till Brexit but will defer to our UK owners.

We're still in the EU for at least the next two years...

I've watched the review and it is very much like all his other reviews. No punches at all, but then again like he usually says, there are no bad bikes these days. Btw, that is a 2017 spec bike. There are a few good deals available right now looking on autotrader. Got me tempted...!

Damn that bike with the beak looks terrible. I think the beak looks ok on the BMW and silly on the Strom.

Signatures ??? we don't need no stinking signatures !!!

I was out riding today, and thinking about the brakes on the Tenere. This was caused a car coming out of nowhere, requiring a bit of aggressive braking on my part. (don't think the car EVER saw me) I squeezed the front, stomped the back, and the bike stopped instantly; and no ABS activation. I will admit that they don't have the initial "bite" that other bikes have. But, when required, they stop quite well. When I released the brakes today, the bike "uncoiled"; just like other bikes with "stronger" brakes. I do not have much off-road experience, but I don't think that I would want a lot of initial bite on loose surfaces. The stopping power is there, it just doesn't show up all at once. Don't forget, it not a street only bike, so it won't have street only brakes. ::001::

I think those beaks look stupid on all bikes. On one model of the Ducati Multistrada that I saw, they even put "nostrils" on the beak - geezzee. One of the things I like about the Super Tenere's styling is that it goes its own way and avoids the stupid beak.

I've heard tell, the beak makes a bike go faster and increases fuel economy...
Thinking about getting one for the F150.....

So my F150 gets better economy than my Honey's Subie Forester. (25 vs 24 mpg)
If I mount TWO beaks, does that mean the F150 will be get Prius economy?
;)

Yep! As long as you mount a bank of Li-ion batteries in the bed connected to a 25kw motor at the rear wheels.
