Every day until I die!
Hard to believe some of the Afghani and Iraq Vets are pushing 30's and 40's now.
The Vietnam guys are in there 70's.
The totally under appreciated Korean Vets in there 80's +, never see any movies made on them Sad!!
And our greatest generation Vets are damn near close to being gone.. :-[

I know this older gent that was a Bombardier in WWII that works at the local Thrift store I go to.
Lieutenant Loyd I call him every time I see him, it makes him smile and he is so humble about his job during that time
and his stories!
The man is frail but his memories are sharp as a tack.. ::008::
It's gonna be a hard one to take the day I show up and he is no longer there..

So yes!
Please! Please! Never forget and what they did for us no matter what Nobel or in some cases Politically motivated stupid cause it was for..

It is the job they had to do to protect our freedom at all cost.

I just called my Dad to let him know I appreciated his Army service in Korea.
There are a lot of vets where I work, mostly Navy.
One guy I worked with was in an Army airborne division who served in Vietnam. He passed away shortly after he retired.
Another guy who I used to commute with was helicopter mechanic in Vietnam. He volunteered to be a door gunner. I asked him why. He said he felt he wasn't doing enough.

To all you veterans, you have my appreciation and respect.

Recently I have been working at a friends, Ed, business while he deals with health issues. Today I took my truck to a shop to have a head gasket replaced. Tonight Ed gave me a ride home... too find my front yard raked and the leaves neatly piled in the street. Later I found out Frank brought his teenage sons to my home, raked the front yard and cleaned the gutters. Frank usually takes me out for coffee on Veterans Day. He stepped it up big time this year.

Frank does not do this just for me though in support of all veterans. Thank you Frank and thank all of you for your service.
