Had one on a different bike. Not as easy to install as they claim. The amount of foam I had to cut away was more then just a slice. It is however, a real back saver.

Ha! Just get a Russell Day Long with the backrest option and it is a nice adjustable location.
Having said that, I had a Utopia on previous Goldwing and it was very nice.....

LOL, that image is an answer to somebody's question on the covering, not an indication of where the backrest mounts. I'd bet money that it mounts at the two screws used to mount the passenger seat. ::008::

Anyone have photos of a Utopia rider backrest installed on the S10?

I am thinking of getting one and not sure about how it would handle my 6'3" 290 lbs frame.

Product Arrived Today.

Looks high quality and made strong.

Started the install and found something that slowed me down.

The staples that hold the rear seat cover to the rear seat plastic pan are difficult to replace.

The placement on the staples into the plastic pan is such that you need a staple drive tool that has an extended nose to clear the non mounting surfaces edges.

All the staple hand tools (expect for air driven tools) do not have an extended nose.

I may go to a local motorcycle vendor to have new replacement staples put in

note: Internet research indicated that many people state the hand and electric staple drive tools do not work well with the type of plastic seat pans used on most motorcycles ....

Will post a few photos and hope to be done in a few days ....

Good start and images. Looking forward to the rest.

I hand stapled a Seat Concept cover using marine grade monel staples. Took me forever so next time off to an upholstery shop.

No shops open for Sunday so did a dry test fit to see how it feels for my size 290 lbs 6'3" frame.

Seems to be a good fit as set up and many adjustments can be tried so my estimate it would work for almost anyone and any size person.

Install info.

1. Plastic pan is slippery to drill bit placement, suggest you mark and punch a small hole and use a pilot drill before the final hole is drilled.

2. Vendor does not recommend locktite and does not provide any set torque values. I used blue locktite and as the pan is plastic took care to tighten the bracket screwed.

3. I used about 5 1/4" and 8 1/4" from end of seat for hole placement (See photos)

Next Step is to cut the foam and fit it over the bracket and then find an open upholstery shop to re staple the rear seat cover on. May take a few days to get this done.

Do you have any thoughts yet on clearance for a passenger?

Seat folds forward for passenger access to rear seat.

Back rest mount comes out of rear seat about 4 inches from the far front end of the rear seat ... so if you current rear passenger does not use the first say 5 inches of the rear seat there would be no impact.

I have added some more photos that show where the mount for the rider back rest comes out of the rear seat foam / seat ...

I still need to get the rear seat cover stapled in and the backrest attached and adjusted so full information on fit for a passenger and rider comfort will take some time....
