Upshift, now downshift problem

During up shifts, occasionally, when I move the shift lever, it goes thru its normal travel but does not goes into next gear. Now it has started doing this on downshifts. If I then change engine speed it "resets" and shifts ok. I haven't beaten it, it has 23000 miles on it and this started at about 20000. This is a 2014. Is this what's happening with the 2015 recalled models? Any ideas, anyone have this symptom? Yes, I checked external shifter lever parts, everything is OK.

Will do. Funny tho how nothing on both ends is binding and moves freely as does shift shaft itself.

it does not "reset", so after you go up the shifter needs to move back down to a "centered" position. In the down shift it needs to move back up to a "centered" position.


Make sense? clean, grease/lube reinstall............your done.

Thx. Just took apart, cleaned and lubed. It was bone dry with even a bit of blue loctite on the pivot portion of bolt from the factory. Found the other thread about this problem. Simple maintenance item to be checked during oil changes in future.
