Upper Midwest Tenere Rally June 2012

OK, here's a suggestion, in an attempt to appeal to 'our' region... A big circle tour, essentially starting in Rochester, MN going clockwise around the state to include, Pipestone, Roseau, Ely, Grand Marias then into Ashland, WI and back towards Rochester. This loop is about 1400 miles and roughly 28 hours of riding.

Tenere riders could 'join' the pile at any part of the loop; Iowa riders jump in between Rochester/Pipestone; Dakota riders jump in between Pipestone and Roseau, and so on. Ride the whole thing or a good part.

Schedule this over a weekend to minimize time off from work...

I would personally like a camping trip (early in the season before too many bugs...), but I'm not opposed to a hotel/motel/casino along the way...you know, plenty of casino's in MN...

Route could easily include some "rougher" roads/back roads to encourage the riders from the right and plenty of asphalt for the left...

Hi, I would interested in doing part of the run if there isn't a PGR mission at that time. I am by the National Wildlife/ Sherbrune Sand dunes area.

When 's your mosquito season start? I'll be watching for this to happen, I like camping with my ride. Off roading is the best!

Big Mosquitos in May, Bigger in June...Biggest in July...they turn into actual birds in August... But would be honored to ride w you and your kid for sure. I would camp as first choice, myself. I'd look into Paul Bunyan State Park for some off road time; could be worked into this w/o problem.
