I'll admit from the start that I am a techo moron. I have a set of Uclear HBC100 Plus communicators. Last night I downloaded a software update for the product to my computer. Now what do I do? I have a compressed file on my computer, but don't know how to get it to the communicator (or should I have downloaded them directly to the modules?

Have you unzipped the compressed file? I grabbed the PC version (assuming you're not on a Mac), and there is a setup file for you to run. Once you've done that, it should install an application for doing firmware updates to your Uclear devices.

I have done nothing....like I said, the files are there and I'm clueless as to where to start? Is the 'unzip' process located on my menu bar? Yes, I'm on PC. (and thanks for the help!).

Which version of Windows are you using? Most of the time, all it takes is double-clicking the downloaded file. It should open a new window that shows the contents of the archive. You want to use the setup.exe file (you may get a message to extract all the files first, if so, just follow the prompts). which will install the program for Uclear. Once the install is done, launch the new program, and it should step you through the update.

I'm just waiting on some holiday 'down time' to do the surgery on my helmet. Unfortunately, in my world, holiday and down time don't exist....they become holiday basketball tournaments!
