Hi all. Just been on the Twisted Throttle site, and think its fantastic. Iam intrested in ordering the following items below, but would like to put some questons out there for other riders views first.

The items Im intrested in:

Mounting Brackets (2) for the Tool Tube or the Bottle Mount http://www.twistedthrottle.com/trade/productview/5394?
Bags-Connection EVO "Daypack II" Quick-Lock Tankbag for SW-MOTECH Gascap Mounting System http://www.twistedthrottle.com/trade/productview/7452?
Bags-Connection Non-Electric EVO Topring Kit Part - DO NOT REMOVE FROM CART.
Bags-Connection QUICK-LOCK EVO Bottom Tankring to Mount QUICK-LOCK Tankbags (Yamaha, Ducati, Triumph 5, Victory 5) http://www.twistedthrottle.com/trade/productview/6921?
Twisted Throttle DrySpec™ D28 Dual-End waterproof motorcycle dry bag
Twisted Throttle DrySpec™ D66 Waterproof Motorcycle Dry Bag Modular Packing System
Twisted Throttle's MSR 30oz Fuel Bottle
R&G Exhaust header pipe grill for Yamaha Super Tenere XT1200Z '11- http://www.twistedthrottle.com/trade/productview/6888?

Heres the questions:
1) I want to mount the tool tube on the pannier racks between the bike and pannier, but Iam using Metal Mule system and am reluctant to drill holes in the pannier frames or panniers to mount the tool holder. Any suggestions would be appreciated. All I could come up with is cable tying it on...I don't really like that idea. Are the any clamps/brackets on the market that anyone knows of, that will hold it in place without drilling or making any permanentt modifications.

2) I really like the idea behind the bags connection attachment system. Has anyone used these bags and how robust are they in your experiencence. IE: wears over time and comes loose, dirt gets in mechanism making it hard to operate etc.

3) Has anyone used the header pipe grill? After opinions on if you think its over kill, or mud would stick in it, or any other ideas I cant think of. Also if anyone knows, will it fit with an Altrider bash plate.

Anyway thanks in advance for any and all opinions. I like the look of everything just though why not use the forum for opinions as the is a vast amount of knowledge out there.
P.S. No need to comment on the dryspec bags, definitely getting them after watching Mellows vid...they look awesome.

1. could use hose clamps... and fasten to the rear frame instead of the rack.
2. lots of Bags Connection bags on here, mostly the City. That one seems tiny. And I haven't heard of any latch malfunctions.
3. over kill. Not really nice enough to be called decoration. Our rider in South America did something similar on his, the snakey ones. For him they served a purpose. He rides a LOT of dirt and rock.
Oh, and
A; the Dryspec D28 is the top half of the D66, unless you meant either-or.

Thanks Don in Lodi,

I mite look at the hose clamp idea, see where i can fit it and see if it looks ugly.
Only need the tank bag to hold a vid camera and some other small items, so there easy to get to and take with me. Im thinking the small tank bag would be ok, but just had another look at the city...mite have to think on that a bit more.
Im not on dirt all the time, but on my last trip the were quite a few rocks, could hear them getting kicked up by the front wheel. Wasnt sure if adding some more protection in this area is needed or worth it. (not sure if its just the bash plate the rocks were hitting. couldnt see any rock marks up higher though. hence after other opinions on if this should be a concern)
On the dryspec thing yeah mean both. want 2, D28 bags and the 38

Cheers for your input.

Sounds like you've got it nailed down. I do like the looks of that snake-like pipe protection better than that screen. Functional, and it looks good.

Yes they have some great stuff! Here's my review of the tankbag

http://supertenere1200.com/2011/11/01/bags-connection-gs-quick-lock-tankbag/

I noticed, looking at a newer version of the bag, that there have been some nice updates. The mounting system has changed a bit so it latches at 4 points, there are some interior pockets, and the exterior pockets seem a little larger.

I have the bottle mounts too and will have them on the blog soon...
