Got in a accident last night.
Car pulled in front of me making a right across my lane.
Dam near brought it to a stop but not to be.
Hit at about 5mph??
The bars are slightly tilted to the left (towards me). Right grip is away. View of throttle cable on spedo now.
I sight checked everything and all looks straight and plum.
Is there a chance the TT allowed forks to twist / shift? Looks plum ! ??
Not my fault. Of course I'll get my front Excel Woody'e Wheel rim straightened from the mexico trip on there dime. >:D
Stayed rubber side down w/ minor damage leading edge passanger side door ( almost unnoticeable ), Broad side hit to the car.
Rode her home 60 miles and she seemed to dive ok. On acceleration in 1 & 2 the bike wants to come up. Assuming it's just the take off w/ uneven bars.
WE ARE INVISIBLE!

Just a quicky; put the wheel/tire along side a door jam an push the bars. There is a correct way to do this, but this will get you straight again.

Glad it wasn't any worse!

^^Loosen the upper TT pinch bolts and straighten the forks. If it still isn't right, you'll have to check the tubes and insure they aren't tweaked.

Good luck.

Glad to hear that you're OK! If it's gonna be a claim on their insurance I'd drop it into a specialist to get it checked for correct alignment. Peace of mind if nothing else.

Pretty easy fix to re align bars.
Thanks Don. Just like I use to do for my bicycles after crashing!
Now I got to tweak it back when the adjuster shows!
Forks are strong!
Hope they will allow the rim to be straightened. That was from a monster pot hole on the Gulf roads in Mex. on the way to Belize.
