Hello, i've been searching but came up with nothing. I want to install this switch on the left side of the handlebar, and i asked one of the sellers on ebay about the lenght of the cable, but had no reply.
Then i found one that looks just the same on uk ebay, and the seller wrote that is 280mm long (aprox 11inches).
Is that little bit short to reach from fuse to handlebar?? Is the one from Tusk just the same, and did you had to extend it?
Any help is much appreciated.

This is the one most of us have been using:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Tusk-On-Off-Switch-Power-Control-12V-12-Volt-Motorcycle-ATV-NEW-Universal-/290658931254?pt=Motorcycles_Parts_Accessories&hash=item43ac9f5236&vxp=mtr

11" sounds about right for the lead length of the Tusk switch. It's generous.

I'm not sure what you're talking about when you say you need to go from "fuse to handlebar". You're splicing into the existing wiring that is already at the clutch switch on the handlebar so there is no wiring length issue. This is not "plug and play" - the connector to the clutch switch is a 2-prong Hitachi and the Tusk switch has bullet connectors. Whether you replace the clutch switch outright or put the Tusk in parallel with it, you're going to have to splice into the wiring somehow or find the right Hitachi connector and splice the Tusk switch to it. And the Tusk has more than enough lead length - in fact, you're probably going to end up cutting a bunch off.

I heard Easter Beaver has the right two-prong Hitachi if you just want to do an outright replacement of the clutch switch with the Tusk.

I have a pictorial in the other "15 extra hp" clutch switch thread. But I spliced in parallel rather than replaced.

I ment as a ABS switch. Sorry for the confusion. That clutch mod for me is permanent. :)
To a carpenter holding a hammer, everything looks like a nail. Sorry to make the assumption.

I don't have it in front of me, but I think the Tusk switch has about 11" leads. You're going to need to extend them to get them into the fuse box area but that's is no big deal. There may be a vendor of similar handlebar switches with longer stock leads to avoid the extension but I've never seen it.

When you finish, write it up on here. There are others (including myself) who are interested in your mod.
