Greetings all, I need some help with turn signal wiring. I've tried the search function with no joy. I am attempting to wire in the denali dialdim light controller (https://denalielectronics.com/collections/dialdim-lighting-controller/products/dialdim™-lighting-controller-universal-fit?variant=40643031302328). I need to locate the correct wires for either the rear turn signal lights or the turn signal dash indicator lights for this controller - it has a function that disables the aux light while the turn signal flashes and triggers the fog light to act as a turn signal as well. I have successfully found the front turn signals wires, but that circuit includes the running light function, so the voltage never drops to zero while flashing since the turn signals maintain voltage as running lights. Can someone point me in the direction to find the correct wires? Thanks much for any assistance. Jay

Posting a follow-up for other's reference. I was able to locate the front turn signal wiring harness in the upper right side of the bike which is a 2017 ES model (under the colored top side panel). These harnesses have 3 wires each (ground, running light 12v, and signal light 12v). The wires to the signals are rather small guage and black/green (right signal) or black/blue (left signal); the black/red wires are the running lights. The other side of the connector has larger gauge wires, brown (left signal) and green (right signal); the blue wires are the running lights. I am using these larger brown and green lights as the signal for the dialdim controller harness. See pics for reference. JayIMG_3569.jpegIMG_3570.jpeg

Interesting. My gen 2 model automatically switches the running lights off whenever the signals are operating.

Very interesting Jeff, mine is a gen 2 as well ('17 ES) and I verified that the running lights stay on "in the background" with the signals operating. Hmmmm

Actually, you’re right. From the saddle I could swear they were turning off. Looking at them from the front the background running light indeed stays on. I stand corrected! I may be thinking about my previous bike (ST1300) which I believe did switch off the running light when signaling.

I still have my ST1300…..hmmm, heading out to check.

Update: Fantastic memory! You are correct, those bulbs completely switch to signal only.

Ok, thanks, good memory tests can be reassuring at my age!
