Well I've been in the market for a new all season riding jacket. First I called Yamaha and ask them why they didn’t offer an Adventure jacket for Tenere riders. They said they are working on it.
Then I was in a new Triumph dealer in Iowa City and they had several jackets to try on. They just didn’t have what I was wanting in an All Season Jacket. But they did show me Triumphs top of the line jacket on the web site “Navigator”. It looked like just what I was after. I rode into that shop wearing my old Kilimanjaro jacket in size large , with a long sleeved shirt heated vest and a sweet shirt all on under the jacket. I noticed that all the jackets they had in stock had to be 2X to fit me. So I took a chance and ordered the Navigator jacket in 2X. Well I have put about 500 miles on wearing the jacket and it fits perfect. It is very warm below freezing temps. The jacket is waterproof “not some liner” . Has great potential ventilation, “ haven’t tried that out yet”. Looks great and has the pockets where I need them. They make matching pants to and if I can find a shop that has them in stock to try on and get the right size I will be picking them up to. It is a pity that Yamaha can’t be selling me the gear I’m looking for. I’d be tickled just to get a Super Tenere tee shirt from Yamaha.

Triumph makes/sale's good stuff. I've had a three season jacket , a one piece rain suit and an older version of their Explorer boot. I loved the boots so much that when the tread wore out, I got my dremel with a small burr and "retreaded" them. Hated to see them go...

I predict the jacket will spend more time in the shop than the bike...

That is a great looking jacket. This December I purchased a barely used Triumph Tiger 800 roadie as a second bike. That jacket would make a nice addition to my collection. We have a dealership here in Kansas City. I may have to have a look. Thanks for posting.
