And I must say, the bike works very well!! ::012:: Neither myself or my wife are very little people, we're 400lbs together on the bike but the Super Tenere didn't flinch at all! I was worried that it wouldn't have the power to move swiftly but I was mistaken. My last few bikes were huge engines ranging from 1800 to 2300cc's and those bikes never had an issue pulling our weight, so for me to "Downsize" to a 1200 was a little worriesome. But It handled great and was plenty of power! I just wish I could of had more opportunities to ride with my wife but we've recently had a baby who is only 3 months old now and getting a baby sitter is almost impossible.

I love my S10! ::022::

Congratulations are in order to the proud parent (though somewhat belated).

Often, my wife and I ride 2-up on long distances with side cases, top box and tank bag. The bike handles all this very well.

My top box is a Givi 46 liter and a 3 month old child can fit very easily ::025:: ::025:: ::025::

Congratulations on both counts.

The bike can also take a trailer or sidecar quite well, for when that next kid arrives.

Th Tenere does great with me and my wife also. We/I add 50 lbs over y'all's weight and it I'd not a problem for me at all. I also wish I could get my wife to ride more but she is a fair weather rider only

Signatures ??? we don't need no stinking signatures !!!

My wife and I are out nearly every weekend together. We are on the lighter size, but coming from an FJR I had concerns that the S10 would be disappointing. Although not the head snapping acceleration of the FJR, the S10 is plenty capable of getting up to speed. ;D

My wife must different than some. She's only about 5'1", not real thin at about 130lb, but in all the bikes I've owned she's never complained. We rode for 11yrs on a Kawasaki KZ650 I paid $150 for. She says the Super Tenere is the worst. Of course we have a goldwing, and maybe she got spoiled by the big Honda, but if I even joke around and suggest a ride on the Super Tenere? Well I found out, I don't even ask her to get on it even joking around.

Back in our younger/thinner days, my wife and I would occasionally lean enough to scrape the center stand on my FJ. Now, on the Tenere, with the adjustable suspension cranked up to max, we still get it leaned over. I was very surprised at how well it handles two-up; we are at/above the GVWR. ::025::

The last time I rode with my wife on the back was 2008, then once about 5 years ago for a short ride around a lake. I must be an exception on here, as I hate riding with passengers on this type of bike...........

My wife doesn't like being on the back of the S10, she used to find the back of my old Strom a lot more comfortable, she feels this one is too hard, both the seat and the suspension, luckily work and family commitments mean we don't have time to ride together often so the S10 can stay but if things change I might have to have a look at a tourer of some sort (to go with the S10 not instead of it!)

Another wife that doesnt like the S10. FJRs and previous Concours were no problem. The S10 basically ended my two up riding. Wife is thin and 5 10. S10 too cramped and to harsh in ride and comfort.

She takes the Pilot and we meet.

Helen rides her own ride now, for a few years.

It was a bucket list thing for her, and now wonders why she waited so long to make the move to the front seat. She's on a DR650, and *loves* it.

Mine also owns a bike, I used to say she rides a bike but that doesn't happen anymore, the worse thing she ever did was pass her test, she used to ride her 125 everywhere but she's scared sensless of her 600, such a shame really.

Mine liked to ride with me till she started having back pain issues, relatively recently, and preferred the Tenere pillion seat. She felt that the Goldwing/Road King/etc Barcoloungers were too removed from the riding and doing it together. I miss having her along.

with every new bike I get the wife gets on the back seat we go around the block once and that's it, she will not ride and will not let me have a girl friend so I may replace the back seat with a rack or something......

I border on being a 2-up Tenere blowhard apostle............for many reasons.
But words really don't do it justice.

As many bikes as there are to choose from in this world, there are VERY few that you can load up like a packmule on your back porch, then both of you climb aboard and comfortaby traverse across West Texas at the speedlimit (80-85) and then arrive a few states over and unpack to setup camp............then jump back on and .....(pic).................then load up and return home, all with nary a concern for being stranded EVER!

Seriously, name them!

I'm with Jimmy Z. My wife has done 5000 miles this year on the back, and that's only because of the RDL with heat. She's done 2.5 hour stretches without stopping. That would be unheard of on the stocker.

My wife is just happy to go along.... She really likes the higher passenger pillion on the S10 as opposed to the FJR. She can now see over me rather than staring at the back of my helmet. Plus I am no longer scraping my boot toes in the twisties so her heart is much more relaxed ::025::
