Not to turn you away from the Tenere, but if I was still single I likely would have kept the KLR. I mean the Tenere beats its ass handily in every single category, yet somehow the KLR calls to me.Chicken Helmet said:As an aspiring ST owner and a current KLR owner I love both bikes. You know how when you walk into a grocery store and they're handing out free samples and you basically eat dinner there? Thats my riding an ST experience at Bike Weeks and the AIM Expo. Its the KLR way!
Anyway, being on my second one I feel the bike is very predictable on the highway and with enough speed a beast in sugar sand. Does take getting acclimated to giving more throttle when the terra firma gets "terra softa".
Camping trips to Alabama:
This smilie seems appropriate: ::021:: enjoy the trip and post pics. Would love to ride out there someday.
I enjoyed every bike I owned, but would not own another, save the KLR. I will buy one again mainly to ship for overseas adventures!
The Tenere is just to expensive to ship, as well as to risk being stolen, at least for me.
