I like the color of the bike, and the side cases. The TT GPS mount seems huge!

I need someone to do a crash report on the engine guards and report back. Multiple speeds and terrain would be nice.

Thanks! ::006::

they didn't include their led taillight kit for the bike...hmm wonder why? perhaps because you can get the EXACT leds from ebay for $30 shipped, swap out the stock flasher for an elfr-1, and make your own mounts from aluminum with a dremel and side cutters. I'm still a little sour about that, but I returned them so no love lost.

all of that aside, that's a sexy beast!

I think the ALTRider bars and RideonADV bash plate will give more protection. I get a kick out of the headlight protection - it looks like it should be a great backup if you need to do some grilling on the side of the trail! :D It is a sweet looking bike though.

It already happened, and it failed. The mounts bent, and the plate squashed the oil filter. Err, sorry, that's the skid plate. Carry on.

In that case, I think you're pretty much down to ALTRider or Rumbux crashbars. I haven't seen anything else, except for OlGitRay's custom bars, that provides as much protection.

I can fix that bike. Throw away the junk, mount real crash bars and skid plate, remove the stupid cross over brake line on the front brakes, take the pillion seat off and toss it, using the space for a fuel cell, keep the fork seal covers build into the fender, (world crosser?), swap the tires for K60s, add real lights and toss the one spot, one fog stuff. Keep the bags, or go with Happy Trails and delete some of the extra oem parts you don't need.

The Zega Pro bags are actually pretty nice, but the latches are a bit fussy. Mostly the locks, the actual latches are fine. (I have them)

Might look a bit like this:

That is a beefy setup there, I wonder what I could get for a installed but not dinged up SW Motech skidplate and a set of Give crash bars? Hummmm? Offset the cost of that stuff. Looks like a lot of places to mount my Baja Designs lights too! And keep em drop safe. The non crossover lines are definately in order as I have already viewed the vid of a guy going down hard on dirt on a BMW 800. They think debris/rock got up in between the fender and tire breaking the fender. Its just that the crossover line caused a bunch up at the crosover piont changing the tire rotation suddenly.. Guy was lucky ??? as he was going down he missed a rock by mere inches.(helmet cam on)

Good eye SB! ;D Beauty shots just for you.

Using the forum to re-sell protection bits seems to work pretty well. Not everyone wants the same things or same level of protection. I'm sometimes surprised to see even the Yamaha skid plates selling at a decent price here or on ebay, but it's still what some peeps want. I've seen that vid of the F800GS going down. It's one of the reasons I had these made up and have been testing them. I hope to get another batch made shortly. Will be talking to a shop today about getting some more sets made up.

@ IBJanky - PAINT! It's only four pieces of plastic and the tank.

Much better. :)

Now it looks like it can actually go where it was farkled up to go.

All that crash protection and cargo capacity with street rubber wreaks of poser. LoL

(not counting you folks that want to wear out that OEM rubber first)

I put K60s on at 625 miles. Pretty much after one long ride on the EXPs. Then I wore out the K60s and tossed the EXPs back on for a ride to TX and back that was mostly slab. I was very happy to take the EXPs off at 6200 miles, even though they had some life left. They didn't grip well for me, compared to the K60s, or wear as well. Nasty in the wet.
