My stock EXP with be done by 6000 miles if not sooner...Front is still looking good...Since I don't want to change out the front at the moment does anyone see an issue with using a NEXT in the rear tell the front is ready for replacement...or should I replace the rear with another exp tell the front wear out...

I am no expert, nor did I stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night. However, I did just last week cover about 1200 miles on the Blue Ridge, as well as "Tail of the Dragon" "Diamondback" "The Snake" and "Back of the Dragon" shod with that exact pair. Had no issues at all. (One puncture, not the tire's fault) I seriously doubt many of us could tell whether they had two different models of tires mounted front and rear. These two are quite similar and will give you good service, IMHO. One day of rain and stuck well in that on twisty roads with lots of wet leaves. No worries. Do it.

I'm skeared to ask tire match-mismatch questions. I've had mismatched tires for more miles than I have had matched.
At this point, as long as I have proper inflation and don't push the life cycle too extreme, I've been fine.
Besides, with all these superb computer aids, and the relaxed geometry, this bike wants to take good care of you.

I had tourance "next" fitted to my 650 v strom just before setting off on a 4k mile tour ....they were "terrible" ...i dont know if it was that they just didnt suit a bike of that weight but they gave no feed back at all and the front felt as if the tyre side walls were to soft and making it feel horrible ....i did try messing about altering the tyre pressure it made no difference ...
