As per title. Can any one please let me have the Torque setting for the Gear shift bolt and do you recommend loctite on it as well?
many thanks
Rob

(P.S. is there a thread/forum here where common Torque settings are posted up?)

If you're talking about the pinch bolt that secures the shift arm to the shift shaft, 7.2 ft-lb. Loctite is not spec'd (and is seldom used on a tensioned bolt like this), but it certainly won't hurt anything.

No, Mark, I'm pretty sure he is talking about the bolt that needs to be greased. It's locktited from the factory, but I'm not sure what the torque is off hand.

OP-- As far as torque value chart for the bolts on the bike, it's called a Service Manual. LOL

Probably right since this is the one commonly removed for re-greasing the pivot.... a helpful soul has provided both so he should be good to go. FWIIW, I never use a torque wrench on stuff like this.
