We're not seriously trying to ride this thing like a sports bike are we? It will do in excess of 120mph but I'm not sure why you'd want to do it.

On top of Monitor Pass (8,314 ft el) is a .9 mile straight section. 111 MPH is the highest I saw in the probably half mile I was WFO. Didn't seem that fast and truthfully enjoy the twisties better.

Since the speedo is optimistic by about 10%, just do the calculations and have fun. It will easily exceed 100, and that's enough.

If you're worried about top speed, you bought the wrong bike! Go buy a sports bike. My R1 did 175 mph indicated (on a track of course!)

At that speed it gets thirsty and drinks about 15l per 100km, so there is practicially no point in riding that fast apart from riding that fast itself :))

I've seen 130 on the speedo - error taken into account it was around 120. There was more there, but I ran out of room on the 'closed course'. ;)

It goes plenty fast for me.
