I got 1/4 inch square foot of aluminum , that I will be working on. I see you have AltRider skid plate. Is that the reason you made right bracket in to two peace or you just didn't have enough material to make it whole?
Did you make that case from scratch or did you buy it somewhere? Would love to get some hard locking case.5fl said:made my own, puncture kit, socket set and compressor just about squash in
Can you throw up some close ups? I am following another thread that has that same case mounted on the right side behind a Pannier. Trying to decide which way to go.phplemel said:Put a small Pelican case #1120 behind license plate, with the SW-motech pannier brkt there as well it's very sturdy
out of the way, waterproof & totally accessible.
After I remount the license plate you will hardly notice it

It was 2 foot long so I had to cut about 4 inches off to not rub against the turn indicator. Tons of room maybe even to long. Easy to cut it shorter if desired.
I went the same route, but ended pulling it off. Too much bounce on the technical stuff...http://thetenerist.wordpress.com/2012/12/27/yamaha-st-pelican-case-and-aux-tank-install-write-up/phplemel said:Put a small Pelican case #1120 behind license plate, with the SW-motech pannier brkt there as well it's very sturdy

got mine from thetooltube.com they have an ebay store, but more accessories for them on the website.AlsoRan said:I know it's been discussed before but I can't find it....I'm looking for a tool storage tube to mount on the bike. So before I build one from PVC, I'm hoping to get some advise from those who have already set one up. I'm interested in where to buy one.
Thanks in advance.
Thank you David. That setup looks like a plus for serious travelers. Waiting to see how the Jesse Rear Rack mounts.Fatallybitten said:The Jesse Rear Compartment replaces the passenger seat. It sits a bit higher than the seat but doesn't intrude on rider position. I will be adding the Jesse Rear Rack on top of the Pelican box when the rear rack arrives, hopefully soon. When done it will make a flat platform that will take my 70 litre dry bag longitudinally. I should have more storage than I ever need.
You can see what it will look like (without my tool storage set up) here:
