Thanks for the kind words Gordon!
I bought one of Gordon's TPMS monitors a few weeks back and wanted a nice, clean mount. This is the result. This is a two piece assembly, the lower mount is held onto the steering head nut by double-sided tape (The good 3M automotive stuff). Once it's positioned, the display mount then screws into a brass insert with a small allen head so it can be squared up independent of the position of the steering head nut. Once in position, double sided tape (or velcro, your choice) then holds the display onto the platform. I left the screw snug but not over tightened so that I could still adjust the display depending on my OCD factor of the day. I've had mine mounted for a month now and it's been perfect so far. The display is tilted 15 degrees and seems to be great for my height (5'10") and visual angles. The pic that Gordon attached is a pic of the original version mounted on my bike.
These are printed on a Taz5 with ABS. I'd considered printing them from PC+PBT (Much stronger material) but that seems overkill since there's not structural need for strength in this application. If anyone is interested in a different picture or any other info, please PM me or drop a line to merf689@gmail.com. I've tried to attach a couple of screen grabs of my cad drawings for reference but I'm not sure if they're showing up since I can't seem to see them in preview...
I'm asking $20 for a TPMS mounting solution that takes less than 5 minutes to install and requires no drilling or other permanent modification of your bike. Gordon is also beta-testing one of the units, feel free to contact him for his opinion!
Thanks! ::021::
