That is correct, I will no longer be a " lurker." l become an official ST Owner and I will finally be able to find out for myself what these bikes are all about. My plan was to wait until the spring but my time-table got moved up a few months.
Goodbye BMW and hello Super Tenere!

Congratulations on making the right choice of bike. You'll be able to take more luggage now because you won't have to carry a bag of spare parts like you did with the Beemer! :D

Picked it up this morning and rode down to Malibu through the canyons in the Santa Monica mountains and on the way home even did some freeway cruising.
All I can say is it's a great bike and aside from having two wheels and two cylinders it is nothing like the BMW. For anyone out there wondering if they should buy the BMW over the Yamaha, all I can say is the Super Tenere is a GREAT bike! The thousands of dollars you save is an additional bonus.

The GS is a great bike as well and of all the GS's I've owned over the years I've never had a bit of trouble with any of them. The Yamaha is all new and though different from the GS it stands on its own as a terrific alternative to the BMW's.
