Winters to Manchester and return. The map is just a suggestion. There are many many many alternatives and they are all good. Some new roads (to me) some familiar roads.

Last year I saw a video of a Canadian riding his KLR in the frozen snow. Studded tires, heated gear, and a GoPro, oh yeah and a smile.

California is having a huge shortage of snow this year sounds like Colo is doing fine.

Nice photos Sir Bo-Croat. I am interested in your route and stops. Did you ride Nacimiento-Fergusson Road to get to Fort Hunter Liggett? Awesome (scary) road. Love Highway 1 from Carmel to Ragged Point. Santa Rosa Creek Road and Old Creek Road are too nice to ride hard. So many roads in your area I want to ride. Hopefully April and May will be good weather this year.

Hi -

No, I was on my way home from Santa Rosa and was slabbing it down the 101 on the trip above.

On many local rides beginning in either Cambria, Santa Margarita, Paso Robles, or San Luis Obispo, the local ride groups ride over Nacimiento Ferguson road quite a bit, usually from Hunter Leggett (Lockwood/Jolon) to the coast.

Next time you are down this way give me a shout and I'll take you over some back country roads. I'm looking to get more familiar with the characteristics of the S10s before I spring for one.

Have buddies in Monterey also who love to ride the coast and local environs.

Cheers from a coast dweller.

Will do. Best Western El Rancho is my regular nightover in Morro Bay.

Have you ridden Robinson Canyon Road in Carmel Valley? Oneway in oneway out but it is fun.

OK,

Robinson Canyon in Monterey county, No don't know that one. I was thinking in SLO county the back way to Adelaida off of Santa Rosa Creek Road, Klau Mine Road, Santa Rita Creek Road. Closer to SLO, Perfumo Canyon and the back road from Lopez Lake to Poso = All dual sport.

Send me a PM before/when you want to ride!

Maps are visual bait. Keep in touch. Always up for Berryessa and coffee, Winters for food, and the roads for fun.
