Installed a Shinko 705 Radial on the rear. Run Heidanau K60s on the front. Only 1000kms so far but seems to handle as well as any of the other more expensive variety I've owned. I'm tough on rear tires but if I get 12,000kms I'll be a happy camper. Years ago tried the Shinko 705 non radial and blew the tread right off the tire at over 100mph. But at that time they were only recommending 33 psi max. Think that was part of the problem. 36 would have been better. But at only $100. a piece delivered, I thought I'd give them another chance.
Probably a fair bit over the speed rating there, LOL. Even the current 705 is only something like 92mph. The Full Bore radial version is a V rated tire, 139mph or something like that.

Well, after several trips into the muddy/snowy mountains of CO, I am pleased to say the 804/805 combo works really well. No complaints at all about traction. The tires don't seem to load up with mud either. Your regional muck may vary. I can pretty much direct them anywhere I want in the mud. They handle really well on the pavement too. Even in the rain. On the dirt, they seem to dig for & find traction ASAP as opposed to spinning like the stock tires did. This helps in shooting out of the corners. Sideways leaned over or upright. They do have some high speed noise. More so than the K60's. Time will tell on the milage.

LOL ::025:: - Like I said - Your regional muck may vary. We have that kind of sticky mud here too, but I haven't been in it yet & I hope I don't have to either. That looks like a mess. I'm not sure what tires would work in that stuff. Maybe those new snowmobile/tank treads people are starting to use more of on their vehicles.

I ran a set of 705's and they were pretty decent tires for grip and handling on and off pavement and I paid 140$ for a set, just not very good mileage, the rear barely made it 4000 miles before I needed to replace it

An update. With almost 1000 miles on the 804/805's the tread has worn down by 2-3 32nd's. They seem to be wearing pretty fast. My riding includes commuting 25 miles a day & weekend rides (combo of pavement & dirt) with a pretty aggressive off road attitude. What that means is lots of rear tire spin & sideways motion in most corners on the dirt caused by the right hand ::26::. They hook up really well off road, creating forward motion as opposed to just spinning. They stick like glue on the pavement, out to the edges, too. More updates to come....

I just spooned on a set of the 804/805 tires and, based on my minimal ride time, I'm in LOVE! great on the street and unbelievable in the dirt. I'll post a detailed ride review once I have some more varied terrain (and pictures) accomplished.

My 805 rear has been on and off the rim so many times and back to Woody's for rim spoke fix who knows how many miles I will be getting.
I like them so far once you scrub them a little, better than the K60 I feel.
I also like the 705's if I am doing more road.
