I've put some Carnuba wax on the screen and headlight lenses which makes bug removal easier, but having a matt grey bike I don't intend putting wax on that. Any handy tips on bug removal other than soap, water and elbow grease?
I wash the matte grey finish with warm soapy dish washing soap. Just let soak for a bit to soften up the bug remains.frez said:I've put some Carnuba wax on the screen and headlight lenses which makes bug removal easier, but having a matt grey bike I don't intend putting wax on that. I going to try this. I want to see bugs fizz )EricV said:Plexus, not just a dessert topping!
I love Plexus, but just use it for the windscreen and visor. Seriously though, 50/50 mix of hydrogen peroxide and water. Spray it on, watch it foam, wipe off the bugs and dirt. It works on the proteins in the bug guts and make a big difference. I just use an empty spray bottle left over from something else or buy an empty from the drug store.
