I've put some Carnuba wax on the screen and headlight lenses which makes bug removal easier, but having a matt grey bike I don't intend putting wax on that. Any handy tips on bug removal other than soap, water and elbow grease?

I spray Plexus or Original Bike Spirits on and let it sit for a few minutes to soften everything up - then wipe off with a microfiber cloth.

Do the same on my helmet and visor - works-a-treat.

Just wax it. The headlight bezel only takes 4 bolts to remove, from there on out just hit it with something like the honda polish or another spray polish applied directly to a soft towel.

Motul moto wash and a good rinse. Never need to even touch it with a rag. Well worth the price.

I wash the matte grey finish with warm soapy dish washing soap. Just let soak for a bit to soften up the bug remains.

Plexus, not just a dessert topping!

I love Plexus, but just use it for the windscreen and visor. Seriously though, 50/50 mix of hydrogen peroxide and water. Spray it on, watch it foam, wipe off the bugs and dirt. It works on the proteins in the bug guts and make a big difference. I just use an empty spray bottle left over from something else or buy an empty from the drug store.
