Hi, i have a tapping noise that sounds like its coming from the top left area of the engine while the bikes moving, The noise doesn't seem to be the cam chain tensioner witch seems silent on start up and when running. bike is a 13 year with 35.000 miles. any info appreciated.

Has the exhaust pipes been fooled with in any way? Probably not the case, but if so history over the years has been most ticking is exhaust leaks from "upgrades".

At slow speeds near lugging, you can get a slapping noise, like what I imagine you are describing o_O, coming from your drive train.

With your machine on its center stand, and with the transmission in gear, using a tape measure along the edge of your tire, using your hand, rotate the tire back and forth from lock to lock, check the free movement of the rubber edge of your tire. If this movement is around 2 inches, your drive train is fine but this slapping noise can be coming from there.

Solution: Ride like a boss and don't lug. Now go have a good time on your Super-T!
