After a crazy month at work, the boss took pity on me, or realized the crazed look I was developing could be fixed with some free time.... So I had yesterday off to get some time behind bars therapy ::001:: ::014::
Got a late start so instead of really heading north I went to play in the Santa Monica Mountains.
First stop was the Rock Store for lunch, and a few passes through the snake. http://www.rockstorephotos.com/snake.htm
Showed up, and realized I may have made an error in hoping for lucnh, glad I brought some snacks with me. At least parking was no issue!!
Then after some trail mix I headed through the snake, and down Latigo Canyon Rd. to Pacific Coast Hwy.
Then lunch at Neptunes net, where the ADV bikes were in the majority, although the other two were Ducati Multistrada's.
After that up the coast to Point Mugu for a few photos by the Pacific
Then back up into the mountains on Deer Creek Canyon and back out to the 101 in Thousand Oaks.
Found some open fire roads to explore
The only bad part was the 100 miles of traffic on the freeway to get back home after playing in the mountains, but at least lane splitting is legal here in CA so it still took under 2 hours.
Now I'm back to work, but at least I feel a lot better after some therapy!! Just need to convince the boss to let me get out more often ) ) )
