Yes there have been a few suggestions mentioned here about that pesky problem of the throttle cable routing obscuring some of instrument panel. Comments indicate that the issue is worse for some more than others and fixes have ranged from ... don't worry through to the use of zip ties and including the repositioning the throttle housing assembly.

Well after finally getting to the point where I have got frustrated enough and thinking about it for a while here's my considered low cost and low impact solution.

Take a small zip tie and position this on the throttle cables above. but near to the wire cable guide on the steering head ... attach a suitable elastic band to the cable guide (I'm using a woman's hair band and I just looped it around the guide ... I've use a brown one for the attached picture so that it shows up slightly better) and pass this between the two throttle cables adjusting the tension to pull the cables down slightly to remove the slack and clear the view as required for your riding position. Initially the elastic can just be jammed in place until a suitable position is found for the rider then tied off.

I've been experimenting for a few days and have been fairly happy with the result so far. The elastic does allow the cables to move while riding and the overall approach means that it can be fine tuned until a suitable final position is found.
