Took delivery of my bike.
Sat on one at the motorcycle show in Vancouver in January thought it felt pretty good. February my wife asks buddy down the road what I would like for my birthday. He says a new Yamaha Super Tenere. She says ok lets go get one and puts the $500 deposit on it. Unknown to me he ordered his a week later. Mine arrives in July... I get to pay the balance. It was the first one delivered on Vancouver Island I believe after the 6 were delivered in the Yukon. BWC's arrived a week later.
Three years and just short of 60,000 km I'm still loving the bike. Its taken me to Alaska and back to Colorado and back all around BC and Washington State. My three year warranty is done now didn't matter nothing has failed me yet. OEM luggage has hung in there just fine after figuring out how to open and close the lids. No broken spokes, one leaky fork seal.
I've met many of the community on this forum at the two gatherings held to celebrate the bikes. Never mind the old Honda ad the nicest people ride Honda's, should be the nicest people ride Yamaha Tenere's ::022::. Looking forward to meeting more.
Thanks to all who have contributed to this forum and continue to add to our understanding of the bike.
See you on the road ::003::
Doug
