I looked into this. Apparently the database software limits searches to 4 characters minimum. No solution I can find at this time. For the record I don't like it either, but for now there doesn't seem to be much I can do about it.

Not sure if there's anything you can do on the forum side, a lot of forums I'm on do the same thing. There is something the searcher can do, add a wildcard to the end of a three letter search and it will work.

For instance gps* works where gps does not.

Maybe it's possible to add a line in the search script to do this automatically?

One way I've found to get around that three letter restriction is to go to Google (or whatever search engine you use) and type in "yamahasupertenere.com GPS". You'll get a bunch of hits back that'll take you to the threads on the forum.

When I search, I'll get "word to short", or "too many words". Even when I search for a specific thread. Sometimes it works. . . . sometimes it don't. . . . no big deal.

Did someone really reply to a two year old post? The 3 letter thing is pretty common to all forums. Google is your friend.
