Thread lock on coil bolts :(

Whilst having the airbox out to replace the ignition , I thought I'd check the plugs only to find the fist coil M6 bolt having about an inch of blue thread lock on it. It was a but of a mission to get out due to the restricted access above the bolt heads. I will clean the threads and put some grease on it before it goes back in.

to be honest i,ve changed plugs about 5 times now i never loctite them back in

Same here, never put loctite on mine. I'm not saying you shouldn't; I haven't checked the service manual to see what it says. But I've never done it.

A 10 mm Gear Wrench helps remove the bolts.

I did use a gear wrench but it was very difficult to even start to loosen it. Going to try the next 3 now

Yes bimota, they all hade loads of thread lock on them, well over the top. I only just got them undone with a decent ratchet spanner, tight all the way out. All done now
