I Have been reading this forum for quite a while, while I still owned my Kawasaki Versys.
I have also been on the ADV and Versys forums. All of the positive information and happy owners on this site convinced me to test drive this bike.
Well, I purchased one about a month ago, sold my Versys and Ktm Exc 450 and could not be a happier guy.
I love the bike! I also REALLY like all of the members on this forum!
You guys are by the most well spoken, passionate and intelligent riders I have come across and hope to meet some of you on future rides.
There are Trolls everywhere, so we'll just disregard them.
I personally want to thank all of the members who give encouragement to the new riders with their stories of spills and falls. Now I feel not so alone with my "incidents.
The Technical information is second to none!

I think we should be better than the "Inmates" ! Any suggestions for what we should call us Terere'ers?/ ::003::
Just my $.02 worth. ::008::

Welcome aboard, BKPA. 8) Congrat's on the new ride! As mentioned earlier there is only one member I know of who hangs out and trolls this site (wfopete). Not sure why he bought a bike he doesn't like in the first place and even more confused about why he hangs out on this forum and trys to take his frustrations with Yamaha out on the members.

Could be he's A-Wind from Adv Rider under a new alias, but I digress. Just a heads-up in case you haven't read any of his 'informative material.'

Again, welcome...where are the pics of your bike? ;)

Another new owner, just like me. I took the slightly used route, and really like my Tenere aka S10 aka Super Ten. I am not one of the mileage kings on this site, but there are several who manage to get over 40k a year out of these bikes without any real issues that I can determine. I have had mine just over three weeks and have not put on just over 1,700 miles on it. I'm truly surprised by how nice this bike is and now I'm trying to sell off some of my other bikes.

Intellegence - well ummm, I'll leave that to a vote.

WOW, if I had kown that intellegence was a requirement....I would never been allowed to even test ride one of these bikes, much less purchase one! But I will say that I have sent out questions to several members here (heheheheh he said member) and they have responded quickly and have been very happy to assist me. And to that I am very grateful. I too look forward to meeting quite a few of you guys ::003:: . I was going to ask if there is ever any tech meetings so us newbies can pick up some help, but while reading a post on here about drive shafts and pulling your pumkin....well I just kept quite. I am kinda shy ::).

Have a grand day.

Yup, we all spill.
I did a week ago riding with the wife on some river bottom road with 80/20 tires. Made it through a big water hole but not far after that. The wife was laughing while laying in the mud and though it was fun. At the time I was pi$$ed but now see the humor.
So what did I do to get over it ? Took off for a few days to the Smookies. Played on the Cherohala Skyway, the Gap and other great roads in the area. One day of rest and I'm headed for the Ozarks :)

I really recommend pulling your pumpkin next time you have your back wheel off. I did it for the first time on the weekend and it was amazingly easy and felt totally natural, even for a first timer.. :D

Just make sure you have some good grease on hand to get the best results. ::008::

Intelligent inmates - YES.

Mature? - Debatable.
