Tyres, oil and now power, all topics not to be started at any cost...

Yup. Just waiting for this thread to die is painful.

If I were you, I would try for the trade. The flash will not improve you top end, it just going to improve the bottom end.
The aftermarket exhaust (full system) improves the top end as significantly as the flash improves the lower RPM range.

OMG! I called the dealer to try and get a trade in.
My 2012 XT1200Z WC for a 2012 GTR1400, $6000 to pay for the trade :-[
You are lucky to you don't live in Norway ;-)

So it looks that I can throw away some money and order a reflash tool to try it.

You could always quit trying to be ghost rider, change your riding style and live longer, maybe start enjoying the scenery and what each day has to offer other than hair raising idiotic passes.

Some big assumptions there, and a very useful contribution, NOT.

Hair raising idiotic passes is somewhat result of a mediocre engine performance.
I don't ride like ghost rider, and a big performance is not the same as using the performance every single moment.

Its similar to have a huge stereo at home, I dont play it max all the time.
But god damn its nice when the right tune starts playing ;)

Have just sent a mail to a dealer that have a 2012 Kawazaki GTR1400, and if they will take my S10 for a reasonable good trade-inn price I probably will be a owner of a new bike.

If that deal goes to shit, well I suppose I have to order a reflash kit and try that. Tried the clutch mod and it made some difference.
Your S10 + $6k = 165 mph. I say do it.

Someone please build a Hotter Cam for this great bike. I love the power but 100BHP would be pretty nice. My 2006 Vee was right at 100 rear wheel horse power with the mods it had. If the S10 had 100 at the tire I think it would be much quicker. I did ride with a buddy who has a BMW R12GSA Water cooled and the S10 stayed right with it. And He is a little guy! And I am NOT. Love this bike though. And I know speed, I have a 1999 Hayabusa with 168 RWHP. ::022::
Odd, everything I have read about the s10 says that its puts out 108 hp and 86 lbs of torque, I know that a bit is lost from crank to wheel it cant be much and should close to 100 at the wheel.

With comments like that this may not be the right forum for you. Part of the reason I bought a S10 is that the people on this forum were friendly, polite, and helpful. When I asked questions prior to purchase the info I got was accurate and the way the people answered them encouraged me to join the S10 community. Something you may want to keep in mind.

Hi klenoth,

A re-flash may pep your bike up enough for you to be staified with the performance in which case money well spent ::001::

I had a Concourse 1400 (as they are called over here) massive power but man they are huge...I use my bike for commuting as well as everything else and it became unpractical to hang on to it I was stuck in the traffic the same as the cars (too big to split the traffic) but for mile munching and sports touring two up it was brilliant. Didn't dare take it off road, not even loose metal everything just felt too remote in the handling stakes when the surface deteriorated.

if it helps at all, my Yosh slip on with the quiet insert gave me a boost in top end speed, and I have to imagine that it helped in getting there as well. I used to be locked out at 124-5mph indicated. Wouldn't climb past that at all. This last weekend I saw 135 indicated and still climbing. Maybe a tail wind, but I was definitely on the move. I imagine that a reflash and PCV with a full system would allow a person to tach out top gear, and get there in a hurry

This bike is too slow, after riding a '14 rocket 3 roadster. I have to wait 3-4 days before I get on anything to have some sort of feeling of being moved forward. But so are most other bikes in this case including goldwing, 1200GS, M109r, stage 3 and 4 road glides, vulcan 2000 and monster 1100S. She is still a blast to ride and listen to. She has taken me past the arctic circle twice and back to east coast without any issues and she is my warrior princess. I put her on a pedestal!
