If your mods are light I would.

Me personally, I wouldnt lose my farkled 12 for a new one. Ive got mine pretty much dialed in definitely dont want to start and spend again.

In 2014 I sold my very well farkled, flashed, Ohlins suspended 2012 and bought 2014 ES. I would do that again in a heartbeat. The ES is better than the Ohlins on my 2012 plus all the other improvements make it a better bike for me. Loved the 12, love the 14 ES even more.

Every time I get off the 12 onto the 17 I tell my wife "this bike doesn't have as much bottom end torque" Then a while back I had my son-in law take my daughter for a ride on the 17 and the first thing he said when they got back was "this bike doesn't have as much torque off idle" He owns a 12 Tenere. It's funny that you have about the same feelings about your two Tenere's as I do, I have had a lot longer harder time feeling addicted to riding the 17 but every time I do ride it I like it and it's a great bike.
i bet a reflash of the ECU would cure that.
