Hello,
Just joined as I'm thinking about changing my bike to a Super Tenere at some point.
I currently ride a 2015 Versys 1000 which has been super reliable and currently has not far shy of 70,000 miles on the clock. However I am starting to long for clean shaft drive (that isn't German, I need it to last longer than a chain) and I have been riding only trail shaped bikes since my first Africa Twin in 1995, I am now the wrong shape for anything 'leany forward'. My only previous shaft drive bike was a CX500 in the early 80s (when they weren't trendy) and as I struggled tonight with the wheel spacers constantly dropping on the floor as I tried to refit my rear wheel after a tyre change and my neighbours learnt how foul mouthed I can be, I had vague memories of just popping that CX wheel onto the splines of the shaft and it sitting there with no fuss waiting for the axle to slide in.
