Thx again! Yeah never had heated handles before, who know how long I could ride here in Sweden, Winter is coming you know! ;-)
Ah - heated sock would be nice! Only have thin sporty-tourer boots for now!

Another vote for go ahead and replace the CCT, but WAIT until major service at 26K miles. It can be done during the valve check for very little additional labor charge.

Mine (2012 Gen 1) was intermittently rattling at start up. It would never do it once warm. I started videoing starts till I caught it rattling. I took that in and played it for my dealers service manager. He scheduled me in for a replacement under the YES coverage available in the states. I did not dig through the records, this was somewhere around 45K miles IIRC.

Ok! Guess thats another 1-2 years or so before i hit that mileage! Thx again for all the hints n tips! :)

Took it for a 4 hour spin today with a friend, probably one of the "easiest" bike to handle in my opinion! Narrow tire, broad handlebar, upright position i guess, and a smooth engine, no vibrations, love it!

Good purchase constrictor and welcome to a great forum. Worry less and just ride. My previous S10 was the one with 112,000 miles on it and all i did was change oils/plugs. Brilliant machine. Might sound stupid but I reckon they like to be used every day (which I do). Winter as well. I'm currently enjoying my second S10. Its the only bike I've ever bought 2 of and I've owned quite a few bikes over the years. Ride it over to the uk and come and say hi!!

Excellent advice! Bikes are not ornaments, they are made to be used
