I wanted to raise my seat and the little square thingy is not there ::007::

Like it didnt come with the bike.
I went to the stealer and they couldnt find part number and had no idea what I was talking about .
Am I losing my mind or should there be a rectangle made of something and you life seat and move the space to have the seat ride in a higher position ?

Any one know the part number as I can give it to the dealer to do his Job for him and they will order it they didnt even have a service manual yet LOL
and they wonder why I try to do my own stuff first .
Or if someon has a extra and dont want it .
Thanks in advance

There is a black plastic rectangular piece that snaps into one of two positions under the seat (hi or lo). Check the Stadium Yamaha website I think they have the parts list on microfiche on their website. If not, any Yamaha dealer ought to be able to look up the part number.

Thats it. #14 in the attached pic.

Have your dealer find it. I bet the setup tech thought it was some sort of shipping packing and tossed it.

Did you notice that your seat is a bit wobbly? Is should have been. Mine was when I forgot to put it back on ;)

I put my ST together my self and the seat comes on the bike and there would be no reason for them to touch it at all. ::009::

The battery is behind the right cover under the gas tank . I hope the dealer makes this right for you

I know where the battery is.

What I was inferring is that the tech, who did not read the setup instructions, just assumed that the battery was under the seat. So he removed the seat, saw this funny looking black thing under there, thought it was some sort of shipping packing material and pitched it in the bin. Get it now? Sheesh.

FWIW I have had an opportunity to see 3 S10's being prepped/built at a dealer, and in all three cases the seat was off the bike.

As I recall, the setup intructions mention something about using the one zip tie shown in this pic to double back the cable with the test plug, put the zip tie around it, then tuck the plug end in the slot in the left side of the underseat compartment.

You don't do any testing with it during setup.

If the build guy knows what he is doing, he will pull the seat and remove the plastic bag on the diagnostic plug and put it in the loom.
After that he checks for the locks and then puts the seat back on.

At least that is what I was told. ::025:: by a tech..

What locks ?
Great there is something else missing lol
There should be a plastic bag with 3 lock cylinders under the seat. These lock cylinders are for the OEM luggage - they come with the bike no matter if you buy the OEM luggage or not. They are keyed to your ignition.

Hope they didn't get pitched as well....
